Experience
Eric Cheung was first trained and worked as a litigation lawyer in one of the largest and renowned law firms in Hong Kong. He became a litigation partner of the same firm in 1994, where his main areas of practice covered building and town planning appeals, judicial reviews, professional negligence claims, building and construction litigation, and general banking and commercial litigation. He took up full-time academic appointment with The University of Hong Kong in 1996 as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Professional Legal Education.
Eric teaches the subjects of Advocacy and Civil & Criminal Procedure
in the PCLL course at HKU. He has also served on a number of public and
professional bodies and is often interviewed by the mass media on matters
relating to the rule of law and other legal issues. He has acted on a pro bono
basis in a number of criminal cases. Eric joined ONC
Lawyers as a part-time consultant in 2003.
