Experience

Paul Lam holds dual qualifications as a lawyer and a professional accountant. Prior to joining the legal profession, Paul accumulated years of experience in the accountancy profession. He worked in one of the Big Four accounting firms for over 7 years, providing audit and assurance services to financial institutions. Paul also worked as a lecturer for over 5 years to provide training for accountancy professional exams of the HKICPA and the ACCA, covering financial reporting, auditing and corporate governance papers. During his time as a lecturer, Paul authored study materials on financial reporting and auditing, and frequently presented at seminars organised by the HKICPA.

Paul specialises in IPOs and has completed in a number of IPO projects on the Main Board and GEM of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, advising listing applicants and sponsors. Paul’s expertise and experience in legal, accounting and finance provides him with unique insights and competitive edge in understanding businesses, drafting prospectuses, attending to regulators’ requisitions and providing all-rounded solutions to clients.

Paul is also experienced in takeovers and privatisation transactions, and regularly advises listed companies on commercial transactions and compliance issues.
