As the number of successful IPOs in Hong Kong increases every year, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange has rejected more and more cases on the ground of being unsuitable for listing in recent years. Our chapter on “Suitability for Listing” discusses different characteristics and business models of listing applicants which may be regarded by the Hong Kong Stock Exchange as unsuitable for listing. It also discusses whether non-compliance would affect a listing applicant’s suitability for listing.
