ONC has advised Crystal River Global Limited on its acquisition of certain shares and interest in Kamoa Holding Limited from Ivanhoe Mines Ltd., a Canadian listed mining company, which is holding the world’s largest undeveloped copper mine project in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The acquisition was pivotal and formed part of the triparty deal where Zijin Mining Group Co. Ltd. also acquired a substantial interest in Kamoa Holding Limited from Ivanhoe Mines.  Consequently, a strategic alliance is formed between Crystal River Global Limited, Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. and Zijin Mining Group Co. Ltd., a PRC company listed in both Hong Kong and Shanghai, also one of the largest gold producers and the second largest mined-copper producer in the PRC.  The deal was closed and a closing ceremony was held at ONC Lawyers’ office in Hong Kong on 8 December 2015.
