On 11 August 2020, Ms Angel Wong (Partner) and Mr Maxwell Chan (Senior Associate) gave a webinar on the topics of “Conduct and Duties of Directors in Corporate Acquisitions or Disposals”, which was co-chaired by Mr Roger Leung, Managing Director of Union Registrars Limited. The webinar covered the following topics: 

• Introduction of the SFC’s “Statement on the Conduct and Duties of Directors when Considering Corporate Acquisitions or Disposals”
• The common forms of misconduct identified by SFC in corporate acquisitions or disposals
• The limits set by the amended reverse takeover rules on corporate acquisitions and disposals

 The webinar was well received by about 150 participants in total.
