Our consultant, Mr Joshua Chu (specializing in Tech-Law practices) was recently featured as a guest speaker at the Data Protection and Privacy Conference organized by HIRF (Healthcare in the 4IR Forum) and Syracuse Law School at Seoul Korea on 19 February 2020.

During the conference, Joshua shared his personal experience as an IT manager during the Hospital Authority’s implementation of the Electronic Health Records (“EHR”) project in Hong Kong where he had to deal with a number of patient data privacy matters as the EHR project was being implemented. These experience are now applied towards addressing how healthcare institutions should react to new data privacy and protection legislations as tougher laws are being implemented world-wide.

The conference was well attended by over 100 attendees with representatives ranging from multi-national healthcare providers all the way to emerging healthcare equipment supplier companies.
