Experience

Before joining ONC Lawyers, Kevin Zhu has worked for several law firms in Mainland China, and served as the Legal Director for a multinational new energy company from 2010 to 2015.

Kevin has over 20 years’ experience of practising Chinese law in areas including equity incentives and equity governance, corporate compliance, data security compliance and personal data protection, and complex commercial dispute resolution. He has been providing high-quality legal services in various industries such as automotive, internet, new energy, innovative technology, and emerging service sectors. He also possesses extensive experience in the full lifecycle of corporate compliance management and handling complex cross-border legal matters.

Kevin is currently the Managing Partner and Senior Partner at Shanghai I-Land Law Offices and the Chairman of the T&T and Data Compliance Special Committee. He is also a part-time master’s supervisor at East China University of Political Science and Law and Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.
