On 16 December 2022, our partner Angel Wong gave a two-part webinar on “Updates on Takeovers Code Transaction Work”. The webinar serves as a training programme on topics which are relevant to advisory work on the Code on Takeovers and Mergers published by the Securities and Futures Commission. Part 1 covered deals statistics in relation to Takeover Code transactions and some observations on common deal structures. Part 2 covered updates of regulations, guidance materials and decisions of the Takeovers and Mergers Panel of the SFC.

The webinar attracted a large number of capital markets practitioners who engage in Takeover Code transaction work including management members, responsible officers, licensed representatives as well as in-house compliance officers of licensed corporations. It was participated by personnel from over 60 licensed corporations.
