Experience

Prior to joining the legal profession, Nelson Ho had worked in the banking and finance industry in managerial positions. Capitalising on this background, Nelson mainly practises banking, finance, corporate and commercial laws, where he has built admirable experience.

Nelson has prepared transaction documents in Chinese and English for banks and financial institutions in over 290 transactions, including various kinds of loans, facilities, structured finance and other transactions ranging from a few hundred million HKD to RMB70 billion. Jurisdictions include Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Indonesia, India, Australia, Cayman Islands, Bermuda, BVI, Norway, etc. Industries include oil and petrochemical, energy and power, transportation, mobile communication, manufacturing, real estate, conglomerates, finance, insurance, pharmacy, etc.

He regularly advises banking institutions on compliance with the Banking Ordinance and the HKMA Supervisory Policy Manual and securities houses on governance and regulatory compliance issues. He has also prepared a training service agreement aiming for providing training to cyber security service providers in Hong Kong for the banking and finance industry.

Nelson also conducts seminars from time to time on legal documentation of banking products and banking and finance laws for banks and professional institutes from the Mainland and Hong Kong.
