Experience

Maxwell Chan’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions of private and listed companies, corporate finance, capital restructuring as well as corporate governance and general compliance of listed companies.

Maxwell has solid experience in advising on listing related transactions including very substantial acquisitions and disposals, major transactions and general offers. He has a wide range of experience in conducting cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He also assisted his clients in acquisition of licenced securities corporations.

Maxwell also advised a number of listed companies in conducting secondary fundraising by way of placing, rights issue and issue of convertible securities, options and warrants. Maxwell handles cases including capital restructuring, spin-off, as well as advising on compliance of listing rule and securities and corporate law. Maxwell has been acting as retainer lawyer of more than 20 listed companies, where he advises them on compliance of listing rules and securities law on a day-to-day basis. Maxwell has also participated in initial public offerings on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited by advising issuers and sponsors.
