Experience
Henry started his legal career and helped found the property practice group of a major international law firm in Hong Kong when he handled numerous substantial property transactions and development projects while in that firm prior to 1992.

In 1992, Henry co-founded a boutique law firm with three other lawyers from that international law firm. His areas of practice then expanded from property to general corporate and commercial.

In 2011, Henry joined ONC Lawyers as a partner.

In the past 20 years, Henry had actively participated in many successful merger and acquisitions, cross-border transactions, and initial public offerings in both the Main Board and GEM Board of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Moreover, Henry had been closely involved as a supervisor, in advising publicly listed companies on the Takeover and Merger Code, continuing obligations, and notifiable and connected transactions under the Listing Rules.

Between 2006 and 2011, Henry acted for a U.S. telecom technology company in organizing, assisting and working with some well-known U.S. patent attorneys in the enforcement of that company’s patent rights in the U.S. against a number of the world’s leading cell phone and equipment manufacturers. It is noteworthy that the particular action in which Henry was the chief negotiator in the settlement negotiation won the largest settlement sum amongst all settlements successfully recovered from the big brands involved in this enforcement exercise. Currently, Henry is helping that company in its enforcement actions in both Japan and China.
